Resident Evil 2 is a horror, survival and role playing game. The player tries to escape from the Raccoon City due to zombie apocalypse. - Samurai Edge Handgun - Complete the game with Standard Difficulty and S rank.
- LE-5 Submachine Gun - Complete the game with Hardcore Difficulty and S rank.
- Rocket Launcher - Complete the game as Leon with Standard Difficulty and S+ rank.
- Minigun - Complete the game as Claire with Standard Difficulty and S+ rank
- Combat Knife - Find and Destroy all 15 Mr. Raccoon Toys in the game.
It is a rank that help you to get the achievements. In order to get S rank you have to complete the game story mode under the record time of 3:30. You can also achieve the S rank if you complete the Second Run in 3:00. The only thing that effects the rank is time.
Resident Evil 2 Unlockable Costumes
To unlock costumes you have to complete the indicated tasks.
- Ada (no trench coat): Equip Leon's alternate costume.
- Alternative costume for Leon and Claire: Escape the lab.
- Casual costume for Leon: Successfully complete Leon's story.
- Classic Police (injured) for Leon: Successfully complete either story on the Hardcore difficulty.
- Classic Tank Top for Claire: Successfully complete either story on the Hardcore difficulty.
- Jacket costume for Claire: Successfully complete Claire's story.

Easy "Bon Appétit" achievement
To unlock this you have to first feed a zombie with a grenade and then shoot the grenade. This will unlock the "Bon Appétit" achievement. You can do this in the story mode or it can be done in second run as well.
Easy "Gotcha!" achievement
This achievement is to deal as much damage as possible to G at the end of the Sewer's Monitor Room. What you have to do is stand next to the "high voltage box""between the switch box and metal shutter, he can't hit you there. Now Damage G as long as you are out of ammo. Since there is no health indicator so bring G to his knees more then five times is enough damage. Now press the red button to call the container back so it will knock the G. This will unlock the "Gotcha!" achievement. You can only get this achievement if the G is defeated while calling the crane back for the first time.
Easy "Hats Off!" achievement
You can unlock "Hast Off!" achievement just by simply shooting the "Tyrant" hat off his head.
Easy "In The Blink Of An Eye" achievement
Easy "Keep Their Heads Ringin'" achievement
The is one of the most easiest achievement. what you have to do is throw a flash grenade at a licker and that will unlock "Keep Their Heads Ringing" achievement.
Easy "Like Skeet Shooting" achievement
Killing a Zombie Dog to will unlock the achievement, both in Leon's and Claire's campaing. you can use sub machine gun or shotgun to shoot the Zombie Dogs.
Easy "Treasure Hunter" achievement
Goto the Workroom in the sewers and find the film roll. Proceed to the dark romm and develop the film, which will get you two pictures of hidden items to find. Now head over to the Press Room and S.T.A.R.S Office to find the treasure. Once the treasure is found you will get "Treasure Hunter" achievement.
Easy "With Time To Spare" achievement
This is only possible in Claire's mode. Kill the final boss with the weapons you already have and the achievement will be unlocked. you will be rewarded with a minigun.
Easy "Zombie Roundup" achievement
Killing more then three zombies with a frag gernade will unlock the "Zombie Roundup" achevement. It can be done in both Leon's or Claire's mode.
